Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, suspension, and air brakes.
• Repair and maintain tractor-trailers, wreckers, fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, farm equipment, and industrial machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, fluid checks, filter changes, and system testing.
• Read schematics, diagnostic information, and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Service brakes, HVAC systems, tires, alignments, shocks, struts, and other safety-related components.
• Fabricate, weld, solder, modify, or repair parts and assist with equipment assembly, disassembly, and shop support.

Requirements

• Required:

• • Diesel mechanic experience in a dealership, fleet, truck repair, industrial, or heavy equipment setting.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, semi-truck maintenance, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, air brakes, and suspension repairs.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks, wreckers, fleet vehicles, and diesel-powered equipment.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Skilled with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools, and general shop equipment.
  • Welding, soldering, fabrication, or component repair experience.
  • Able to perform physical shop duties, including heavy lifting when needed.
