Job Description

An industry leading company is looking for a Shop Foreman to lead and mentor a team of heavy-duty truck technicians in a modern fleet maintenance shop in Dorval. Guide technicians through complex diagnostics and repairs while maintaining quality standards and fostering a positive team culture.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Advanced heavy truck diagnostics and repair knowledge
• Excellent communication abilities
• Understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting logic
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to guide without micromanaging
• Previous lead hand or supervisory experience (5+ technicians) – preferred
• 4+ years heavy truck technician background – preferred
• Multi-brand truck experience – preferred
• OEM diagnostic software knowledge – preferred
• Technical interview and assessment experience – preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Wage: $40–$45/hour (based on experience)
• Insurance: 50/50 health and dental coverage (after 3-month probation)
• Boot Allowance: $140 annually

• RRSP Matching: Up to $1,000 annually
• Vacation: 2 weeks year 1; 3 weeks after 3 years
• Bonus: Potential productivity bonuses (negotiable)

Hours

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (Mon) 6:00 AM–2:00 PM (Tue–Fri) Flexibility for afternoon shifts if desired.
• Environment: 6-bay shop with pit and rail jack; shop work only (no field service)
