Job Description
A long-established quarry operation is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Stanley, NC to maintain and repair heavy quarry equipment. Ideal candidates bring hydraulic, electrical, and diagnostic experience. Apply today for a $2,500 sign-on bonus and $1,000 annual tool allowance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain heavy equipment such as haul trucks, loaders, dozers, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and similar quarry equipment.
- Install, replace, and repair parts to keep equipment safe, reliable, and production-ready.
- Use diagnostic tools, computers, and testing procedures to identify issues and confirm repairs.
- Complete equipment inspections and follow safe work practices in a quarry production environment.
- Support daily repair priorities to help keep site operations moving.
Requirements
- Required:

- Experience repairing heavy equipment such as dozers, haul trucks, excavators, loaders, skid steers, forklifts, or similar machines.
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, computers, and testing procedures to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Working knowledge of equipment operation, electrical components, sensors, and related systems.
- Dependable work history, strong troubleshooting skills, safe work habits, and ability to adapt to daily repair needs.
- Must provide basic personal tools; specialty tools are provided.
- Able to work outdoors, perform physical repairs, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a demanding quarry environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the United States, and complete a pre-employment drug screening.

Shifts
- Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation
- $35.00 – $40.00/hour based on experience and qualifications
- $2,500 sign-on bonus
- $1,000 annual tool allowance
