Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on customer vehicles and equipment in the field.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and post-repair testing to support safe, reliable operation.
- Respond to hard-down service calls and help return units to service efficiently.
- Work on trucks, utility vehicles, bucket trucks, high rail trucks, and other customer equipment.
- Use schematics, diagnostic tools, and service documentation to identify issues and document labor, parts, and findings accurately.
- Travel to customer sites across Houston, TX and surrounding areas as needed.
- Operate and maintain a company service truck, manage onboard parts and tools, communicate clearly with customers and internal teams, and follow all safety requirements.
Requirements
- Required:

- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of hands-on mechanic experience in fleet, diesel, truck, equipment, rental, utility, or field service environments.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; Class A or B CDL required.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals and use diagnostic tools, meters, and gauges.
- Willingness to travel, stay overnight as needed, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, communication, and ability to work independently.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a background check and drug screen, and provide basic hand tools.

- 5+ years of mechanic experience.
- Prior field service experience.
- Experience working on utility trucks, service trucks, bucket trucks, high rail trucks, diesel trucks, or mixed fleet equipment.
- Background in rail, utility, oil and gas, or service-based equipment support.
- Vocational or technical training, or certifications in diesel, brakes, electrical systems, or hydraulics.
- Basic welding or hydraulic hose fabrication experience.

Shifts

Typical schedule is 21 days on and 7 days off, with flexibility based on customer needs

Overtime available after 40 hours per week

Compensation
- $32.00 – $36.00/hour based on experience and certifications
- Fully equipped take-home service truck and fuel card provided after training
- All travel and lodging expenses covered
- $50 daily per diem paid directly on paycheck
