Job Description
A reputable and well-established employer with a safety-focused, high-performing maintenance operation is urgently seeking a Diesel Truck Technician in Vaughan, ON!
The ideal Technician will have:
- 4+ years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks and transport equipment
- Strong diagnostic capabilities with engines, electrical systems, and after-treatment components
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and servicing on heavy-duty trucks equipped with Cummins 6.7 engines
- Diagnose and repair faults using Cummins Insight diagnostic software
- Perform valve adjustments, transmission services, filter changes, and component replacements
- Complete brake, steering, and suspension repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair after-treatment systems (DPF, DEF, emissions systems)
- Follow diagnostic troubleshooting procedures and workflows
- Work independently while demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with management on daily operational requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Perform both shop-based and yard-based maintenance as required
Compensation:
- $38 - $40/hr starting wage based on experience, certifications, and training
- Overtime available (typically up to 5 hours per week)

Shift Schedule:
- Schedule 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Schedule 2: Thursday to Monday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Flexible start times (9:00 AM – 7:00 PM) available on overlapping days
- 44-hour work week with consistent overtime opportunities
- Operation runs 7 days per week (facility closes only briefly on Christmas Day)
